Who Are We? The VOL State Winnies (VSW) is the Winnebago club for the state of Tennessee. Our club, our chapters, and our members are well-traveled and high visibility at Winnebago’s Camp Winnegago (GNR) where our Lynchburg Lemonade has been a tradition that draws everyone to the Tennessee Row. Chartered in October 1976, VSW celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2016 and has an exceptional history as an active member of WIT. Our mission is to assure that all members-owners of Winnebago recreational vehicles achieve maximum benefits from their RVing experience. We are a social club in that our primary mission is to enjoy traveling with our VSW family and other WIT members from across the country. Our club members, as a whole or in smaller groups, journey far and wide, exploring every part of North America, making new friends and sharing the experience along the way. The volunteer spirit is alive and well within VSW making the RVing experience much less stressful and more enjoyable. When questions or problems arise, you know that someone is there ready to help. |
As the Tennessee state Club, VSW sponsors Spring and Fall statewide events that are open to all Winnebago owners and some others. The Spring outing is held in April and the Fall's in September or October. In odd years through 2019, the Fall outing was replaced with a WIT-sanctioned Tennessee State Rally. This odd-year fall tradition was paused with the Covid pandemic and hopefully will be restored when we're again able to host a quality rally. Historically, our state rallies have drawn RVers from across the continental United States as well as from several Canadian Provinces. Many of the same out-of-state members returned year after year. Rally attendance varied from 65 to 100+ Winnebago recreational vehicles, including the full spectrum of Winnebago's product line. Whether you are a first-timer or an old-timer, come join us and experience all that the Winnebago lifestyle, enhanced by your VSW family, can be. We are a diverse group of individuals that share two loves — our Winnebago recreational vehicles and travel shared with old friends and the friends we have yet to meet. Why not join us at our next outing, group adventure, or state rally? If you would like to join Vol State Winnies, click on the VSW membership button at top of the page, then mail/e-mail the completed form to Joe Moore at address indicated. Vol State Winnies forty year plus history is full of wonderful memories that can never be duplicated, but is a strong indicator of our future. In October 2016, we invited inactive members, who are no longer able to maintain the RV lifestyle, to join us for our 40th anniversary. Much of our time together was spent revisiting our past. It was truly an unforgettable time. We invite you to share in this look back. Follow the hyperlink below to view some of memories. go to VSW ARCHIVES |
